Synopsis

Eddy is an eighteen year-old, developmentally handicapped young man who runs away to L.A. to pursue his dream of playing professional basketball for the Clippers. Hungry and alone, he ends up in a homeless shelter, where the center's director, Carol, introduces him to his new Big Brother, Mike, a young African-American basketball player who has jeopardized his shot to play NBA basketball with a knee injury. Though Mike is at the shelter to perform mandatory community service, his duty quickly turns to friendship as Eddy teaches Mike a profound life lesson about never letting go of your dreams.
