Synopsis
Taraneh is a hopeful Tehran teenager. She works in a photo shop and goes to school for a better future. But Taraneh's fortunes change when her neighbor Amir proposes marriage. Taraneh accepts and Amir's mother procures a temporary marriage permit, allowing the couple to date. They are to marry after graduation. But, when it turns out Amir is not as serious as Taraneh would like, the couple divorce. Now Taraneh is stuck. Pregnant by Amir, she must quit school and get a job to raise her baby. Living as a single mother, Taraneh is forced to fight for her child's rights in a society which condemns fatherless children.
