Synopsis

Girlfriends Kate, Sascha and Isa allow themselves to drift along with the stream of life. They don't believe in anything, certainly not in themselves, and are used to mocking themselves and tackling things with irony. But now, as they approach 30, they start to realise that they cannot joke about everything. Kate breaks off her relationship with Max on the day after her 30th birthday, and moves in with Sascha. Kate is in trouble because she is pregnant and doesn't know who the father is. For a while she has being having an affair with Christophe, Isa's boyfriend. Kate doesn't want to talk about her problems, she wants to get an abortion arranged first, and fast. When it turns out that she isn't pregnant at all, the largest part of the problem is solved. But in the meantime, events have been set in motion which are not so easy to stop. While Kate just can't seem to understand what a mess she has made of things, Sascha has a terrible experience and Isa is not having an easy time either.
