Synopsis
A love story that unfolds in Greece around 1922, the year of the Asia Minor disaster, the most significant event in the history of modern Greece and one which has either a direct or indirect effect on the characters of the story. Young maidservant Aglaia becomes the object of desire for a major in the Greek army, his young and inexperienced groom and, finally, the major's young wife. A silent drama is played out in the household which the manners and mores of the era prevent from manifesting. But the major is soon forced to leave for the Asia Minor front...
