Synopsis
In 1978, as the military dictatorship tightens its grip in Argentina, Esteban, a Buenos Aires journalist, publishes an article which brings him to the attention of the authorities. Faced with a ransacked apartment and threats on his life, Esteban believes his only escape lies in leaving the city for the remote rural north of the country where he can easily cross the border into Bolivia. When this proves more dangerous than he feared, he remains at the border village with the unconventional local priest and here he becomes part of a tight community waging their own precarious battles for survival.
