Synopsis
The first line of Herodotus' History says, "The Gods don't like happy people." Ancient Gods, considering happiness to be their privilege were said to become envious and angry when mere mortals dared to demonstrate contentment. In 1983 Moscow, Sonya and Andre are about to defy the Gods by finding love in treacherous times. Sonya, an editor at a Central TV Station is also a devoted mother and wife. When Andre, a journalist with a family in Paris, enters her life the attraction between them is overwhelming, and Sonia, a normally chaste and faithful woman, is unable to deny her feelings.
