Synopsis
In the tradition of the classical detective story, director Jon Bang Carlsen traces God as a phenomenon. His search brings him in touch with several different environments, including visits with prisoners in the penitentiary of Cape Town, South Africa. Among these people, convicted of murder, rape and burglaries, God is not just a word, but a condition. The detective's challenge is greater than it has ever been for any of his predecessors: how do you follow a person who doesn't cast any shadow? In this journey through the mind of a person in search of answers, we're witness to all his investigation's doubts, hopes and limits. With its mixture of comments, fantasies, reality and poetry, his search reflects our existence.
