Synopsis
In the humble Italy of 1954, in an attic near Naples, seven-year-old Bambino gets to know the body of Rafilina, a maid just over fifteen with a turbulent sexual drive. The girl falls head over heels in love with unemployed Carmine Russo, who spends his days playing billiards. One evening Bambino overhears a quarrel between the two, in which Rafilina accuses Carmine of being a pimp. Carmine attacks her and Bambino flies at him to hit him. Beaten and humiliated, the little boy secretly decides to take revenge against his rival. In the school he attends, there is the laboratory of Sister Agnella of Christ the King, who is committed to help the soul, but also the body, of her brothers and sisters, preparing herbal extracts and cures. Bambino gets hold of the laboratory keys, steals a poisonous powder and mixes it into the aniseed that Rafilina always takes to Carmine at each rendezvous. The powder will have the desired effect. But, possibly, these are just the ravings of a child.
