Synopsis
Teban, introduced to us in a brutal urban "hunt," has been butchering dogs all his life. Even though the local slum-dwellers around his shop line up to buy a pound of "woof," they still treat him with contempt for his trade. Late in life, he meets twelve-year-old Lily, who has but one friend in the world - her little dog. Slowly and improbably, they develop a friendship. Lily's home life is ruinous; her dad is a police clerk, taken off his beat by a trumped-up graft charge. His humiliation takes shape in ugly violence directed towards Lily's vain and baby-obsessed stepmother. When Teban learns of the perverse depths to which his new friend's household has sunk, he takes action.
