Synopsis
The life story of French author Andre Malraux. Starting his adventurous career as a young man abroad in Cambodia, Malraux then traveled to Indochina where he worked as a leftist journalist. After writing his famous novel "Man's Fate" in 1933, he went on to serve in the Spanish Civil War and later France's WWII Resistance. Ending his career as a high-ranking politician under Charles DeGaulle, Malraux began a surprising move away from his former Leftist politics.
