Brief Synopsis

Young Amangol is sent far away by her father to work in a sweatshop, weaving all day under terrible conditions. Finding strength despite the circumstances, Amangol draws the brunt of abuse from the cruel overseer but attracts the companionship of orphan Belgheis, a fellow work-slave.
