Synopsis
True story of a 1950s Irish town nearly torn apart by religious strife when a Protestant mother stands up against a fanatical Catholic parish priest. When the much in love Sheila and Sean marry, Shelia is forced to sign a pledge to send their children to a Catholic school. When, years later, Shelia decides that the church will not dictate how she will raise and educate her children, she is forced to kidnap her own kids to escape the dictates of the relentless Father Stafford. Her actions set off an international manhunt that involves the highest levels of the Irish government and the Vatican.
