Synopsis

The story of Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. At the beginning of the 20th century, Amundsen led a series of expeditions in an attempt to reach the North and South poles. Having previously mapped the Northwest Passage, Amundsen found a number of sponsers and supporters for his frequent, but failed, expeditions. Famous as an adventurer, Amundsen used his clout to seduce the wives of his patrons and sponsers, but eventually died on one of his trips to the North Pole.
