Synopsis

Transient beatnik Jake motors through the backroads of the Lone Star State in a classic Cadillac on an endless search for adventure. Jake finds more adventure than he ever imagined in Mae, a sweet young lady who strikes his fancy at a honky-tonk. During his alcohol-fueled conversation with Mae, Jake suddenly blacks out and awakens hours later to the sound of a train whistle... which is not the sound he wants to hear, as he finds himself handcuffed to a railroad track. Mae, in the interim, has driven off with Jake's Cadillac in pursuit of her dual careers: a saleswoman offering human organs at wholesale prices and a voodoo princess with a flair for occultism.
