Synopsis
Ah Ming, a young man from Hong Kong, decides to look for his big brother who ran away from home many years ago and about whom nothing is known. The last clue is a postcard, that was sent three years before from a remote Chinese village in Qinghai in Chinese Tibet. After a long and solitary trip he reaches the village and starts to ask people about him. He meets a motorcyclist in a bar. Ah Ming shows him his brother's photo but the man runs away. It turns out that Ming's brother was a friend of his. He also learns his brother had an affair with a young woman. Ming discovers many other things thanks to some Super-8 film shot by his brother and a map of China showing the places he has visited. Ming will probably never meet his brother but he decides to follow his footsteps and sets off again.
