Synopsis
Sofia, a young drama school student, applies to her own life the teachings of three Italian actresses. At her teacher Mariangela Melato's request, she first dedicates herself to falsehood, paying its perverse effects first-hand. After reading an interview with Stefania Sandrelli, she decides to tell only the truth, and soon discovers its potential for destruction. Lastly, after a talk with Alida Valli, she turns herself entirely to the illusion of art. Falsehood, truth, illusion, three moments in the life of a girl, three fragments which, like the chapters of a novel, relate a story. Just as the strokes of a pen on a sheet of white paper create a face and a soul. Three musical arrangements to modulate our little symphony.
