Synopsis
A love story between a Berlin singer and a Tibetan Lama. Sandra grew up in a small Swabian town. At the age of 14 she ran away- and eventually ended up a Zen nun - to India, where she met the exiled Lama Gelenk. While living with his nomadic family, Gelenk was discovered to be the sixth reincarnation of a Lama. Turning to political activism against the Chinese oppressors, he finally fled to India where he had been living as a hermit when Sandra met him. To marry and travel with her to Germany meant giving up his vows and most likely his future reincarnations. Today Gelenk, Sandra, and their three-year-old daughter live in a modest apartment in the center of Berlin, making a living as performers in the sub-music scene, and Gelenk finds pupils in the pedestrian zone of the shopping areas.
