Synopsis
A terminally ill Brazilian drifter named Augusto arrives in a small Latin American village where the people are surrounded by death and terribly depressed. Thinking this village is the perfect place for him to spend his remaining days, Augusto sits by himself and begins playing his oboe. Soon the villagers, awakened by his music, have surrounded him. Before long Augusto's music has had a transformative effect on the entire community, as the people begin to live again and celebrate their daily existence.
