Synopsis

Shot in Kazakhstan and neighboring republics, south of the former USSR--a land that looks as though you've arrived at the end of the earth. It travels with family circus whose mini-bus requires a handcrank to start. the children lift a giant steel ball with their teeth, lie down a bed of glass, and perform acrobatics. A baby eagle, found in grass, becomes their mascot, and in the most surreal of scenes, they fall asleep to their mother's lullaby, as the eagle looms over them contentedly.
