Synopsis
Martin Lewis's girlfriend just dumped him, but that's only the beginning of his problems. His life is going nowhere until he joins a support group for lonely hearts. There is only one other member in the group, Russell, who instantly considers himself a kindred spirit to Martin. Russell soon decides that Martin is his best friend and enlists him to help on a series of ill-fated misadventures. Martin's life becomes even more abysmal, but at least it's going somewhere interesting when he agrees to help Russell win back his lost love. Martin is unwittingly entangled in a road trip that lasts much longer and leads to a much more unexpected destination than he ever expected. Martin's life is suddenly packed with quirky sight gags and hilarious situational humor, though Martin is hard pressed to find the humor in the situation himself. Martin is force-fed self discovery by his new best friend.
