Synopsis
Yehuda, a young theatre director living in Paris, returns to Israel after the breakup of a love affair and the failure of his first play. Numb and despairing, he hopes to surround himself with the illusion of comfort in his old home. That dream is shattered when he learns his beloved mother has terminal cancer. It's up to Yehuda to keep up her morale, so he invents a series of "white lies" to prevent her from learning the truth. The family doctor who misdiagnosed her illness is devastated by his mistake, and helps Yehuda conceal the seriousness of her condition. But when Yehuda's estranged sister Zillinka comes from America for a final visit the walls of deception begin to tumble, as mother, sister, and brother struggle to come to terms with their past and find a way to say goodbye.
