Synopsis
Young ethno-musicologist Farhad travels into the Khorosan desert with a special permit to record women's folk songs. Because Islamic law forbids women to sing in public or on tape, Farhad faces a difficult task. But as time passes, these traditional songs are being forgotten and thus disappearing forever.
