Synopsis
Organized into four sections corresponding to the seasons of the year, the story focuses on a poverty-stricken village in central Spain during the 1950's. Nini lives with his father in a cave, has never been to school, and makes his living hunting water rats. When their meager shelter is taken away, violence is inevitable.
