Synopsis
A young woman escapes an impossible family situation with her child. Fleeing to Australia, Ruth winds up in a boarding house called Terra Nova where she encounters a group of strange characters. Warren is a neo-Nazi, but Dud is more friendly and takes to Ruth's daughter, while Dud's brother Simon becomes Ruth's lover. This new family helps Ruth come to terms with her past.
