Synopsis
A film about returning home from self-imposed political exile. Director Randa Chahal-Sabbag was raised in Lebanon, where she filmed her country's raging war from 1976 on; she now lives in Paris. To her credit, the expatriate documentarian successfully managed to flee her country's destruction; however, she was forced to confront the fact that her friends and family--particularly her sister--would be left behind by her, for an indefinite period... Chahal-Sabbag's return to Lebanon is a journey of re-discovery; an attempt to understand her own identity, as well as the twisted identity of Lebanon, itself.
