Synopsis
A wordless psychodrama comprised of four vignettes involving the body, power, mourning and transgression: In the first episode, "Precious," a one-eyed young bride mourns the loss of a loved one named Precious. In the second installment, "Scum," a newly married couple explores the confines of sexual roles. The boundaries of what is acceptable are constantly expanded. "Kisses" begins with what appears to be a forced first encounter between two men. The relationship becomes increasingly violent as the boundaries between pleasure and pain blur. Is the ultimate gift to a lover an organ? The final chapter, "Shiteater," shows Vancouver performance artist Andrew Wilson distorting and making up his face as he becomes less than human to perform a feat that is no less than animalistic--eating shit.
