Synopsis

Siddharta has had to grow up fast: aside from having an unusual name, he also has a heroin addict mother and sometimes, a half-sister to look after. He loves little Domitilla and wishes he saw her more often but her father is wary of leaving her in the care of the children's unreliable mother. One day, Domitialla pricks herself on a used needle while staying at Siddharta's house, and only Siddharta sees it. He is faced with a tough decision: if he tells the girl's father, he will never let her come over again. He opts to get her tested for AIDS and hepatitis himself, but is presented with difficulties when the doctors say he is too young to be her guardian.
