Synopsis
A woman falls from the airplane. Like a modern-day Alice In Wonderland, she appears to fall endlessly not knowing where she'll end up. Through "Alice's" imagination we experience a fascinating journey full of surreal images and fantasies, The most elaborate of these is a recurring ballet which confuses the senses. As one dream ends, we find ourselves in a futuristic "Mind Lab" where a brain researcher is conduction perception "experiments" on our young dreamer. Alice is wheeled into a brain scanner as the scientist explains some of the apparent brain activity. An overhead screen gives us a glimpse of what Alice is dreaming; wild painted bodies dancing by a bonfire; a child diving in a coral reef. We speed along with Alice in a jetboat race through a narrow canyon. To illustrate the higher functions of the brain which combine several senses, the scientist gives Alice a keyboard. The screen explodes in shapes and patterns of sight and sound, floating and swirling before our eyes.
