The life of legendary Prima Ballerina Alexandra Danilova is recounted. Danilova danced with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, the Imperial Ballet School in Russia, and the School of American Ballet. She left Russia in the 1930s and moved to the United States where she had a longtime relationship with choreographer and balletmaster George Balanchine, and continued to perform.
