Synopsis
Jonas is a drifter who lands up by chance in a remote village in Brazil. He takes a fancy to local girl Tari and stays on. He meets eccentric Lineu, who has invented what he hopes will operate as a perpetual motion machine, providing endless power. Jonas decides to help Lineu, more because he admires his persistence than out of any faith in the project. Meanwhile, he needs persistence of his own to woo Tari.
