Synopsis
Ten year old Pachu enjoys watching his father perform as a traditional Kathakali dancer and singer. Pachu is also possessed of the incredible ability to memorize the sacred Vedas and play chess. He is noticed by Acharya who is the leader of a nearby monastery. Searching for a successor, Acharya selects Pachu, an honor that delights his grandfather but sets his mother and father at odds. Eventually, Pachu expresses regret at losing his friends and his parents cry over losing Pachu.
