Synopsis
A time-traveling tale about the Monkey King, an irreverent, ousted monarch of long-ago who slowly discovers that 500 years have passed since his reign; furthermore, he realizes that he's been reincarnated as the Joker--a boss of a band of thieves, all of whom inhabit a country inn, and make their living robbing travelling businessmen and scholars.
