Synopsis
Taking its name from the pastoral Latin poem by Virgil, this is a tale about a boy reclaiming his country and attaining manhood with the help of an old sage. Jakub lives on a deserted island used by the Russians for nighttime bombing missions. When a young felon, Marcenous, is sent to him for rehabilitation, Jakub teaches him rural ways, the island's history and a vision of what life should be.
