Synopsis
Told in a non-linear tale about Adama, a soldier-turned-dictator who's reneged on his promised free elections, lives with his Europeanized, domineering wife and inadvertently takes an initiation journey back in time to meet the mother of humanity, who is also campaigning for the president in the present. While bopping back and forth through time Adama ends up taking a crash course in European influences on Africa: beginning with the slave traders of the 1500s, the complicity of Africans in the exploitation of their brethren, corrupt priests, brutal colonial administrators, etc. However, when the corrupt Adama returns from his initiation journey, everything changes--or does it?
