Synopsis

Currently employed at the local gas station, Tank runs into Dr. Magrew, who notices his exemplary craftsmanship with woodworking and offers him a job to carve puppets at his ranch. There, Tank is introduced to Magrew's "living puppets," who seem to coexist happily with the family, and his daughter Jane, just back from college. As Tank works on creating the perfect puppet, both he and Jane begin to notice strange happenings on the ranch. A burnt and buried puppet? Sheriff's surveillance? Soon they begin to wonder about the true reasons behind Dr. Magrew's interest in puppetry.
