Synopsis

Not receiving enough attention from his parents, an adolescent boy skips his school classes to steal from several stores. A police officer, who is also a family friend, discovers the boy's delinquency and reports it to his father, a cab driver. The father confronts the boy and kicks him out of the house when his son denies the charges. Upset by his father's abrupt action, the boy decides to stow away aboard a Latin-American freighter to escape, but his father and mother, having realized their mistake, find him at the dock and dissuade their son from leaving them.
