Synopsis
Set in 1925 on an island off Cuba's coast, a fable about an ex-con who returns to his island bringing a silent movie projector and a print of a version of "Robin Hood." For the islanders, this "movie watching" is a new, fantastical experience. However, things get a little tricky, when repeated viewings of the film, reaffirms the revolutionary sentiment in the air. Soon, the film is transformed in the eyes of its audience into a drama paralling their struggle--a drama in which the underdogs rise up against the capitalists, repped by the island's unpopular landowner, with the villagers, themselves, taking part in the action.
