Synopsis
Middle-aged Mane works in a grocery store in Cape Verde. But in the 1950's, he had his moment of glory as a member of the Portugese national soccer team and has been obsessed with the sport ever since. He tries to train a local team, but their rudeness puts him off. One of the kids, however, shows talent and Mane decides to get him a tryout on team Portugal. He blows his wife's savings on a plane ticket to Lisbon but suffers one indignation after another as he tries to shop the kid around.
