Synopsis

This old-fashioned farce is based on a play by Ray Cooney. Peter Vitt a right-wing minister in a perilous coalition government, lets his assistant Sandor take most of the strain so he's free to spend quality time with his bimbo mistress Tunde. Tunde also happens to be the secretary of Sandor, who lusts after her when he isn't being nagged by his aged mother. Peter lies to his wife and escapes to a hotel to meet his mistress. When he arrives he stumbles upon the body of a private dick in his room. The caper begins. He hides the body and summons Sandor to sort out the mess. Complications, deceits and misunderstandings mount in short order as Tunde's jealous boyfriend arrives followed by Vitt's wife... as one mishap leads inevitably to another.
