Synopsis
Every Friday for longer than the locals can remember, the Colonel waits by the dock for a letter announcing the arrival of the government pension he has been promised year after year. Too blinded by the shame of his poverty, he waits in vain, solemnly believing that he will get what he is due rather than tending to the hunger that ravishes his family members.
