Synopsis

A troubled young artist, Sean Fields, begins a potentially meteoric rise with a series of controversial paintings. His abusive stepfather, Ray Fields, a district judge, has announced his intention to run for US Congress and his campaign success is mirrored by the growing popularity of Sean's work, although the graphic nature of the paintings makes the Judge very nervous. When Sean falls for a beautiful girl, Hannah, he turns to her for inspiration and survival. She, however, is vaguely distant and guarded. When a gallery owner proposes Sean's paintings gain a coveted place in a major opening, the stage is set for a showdown between Sean's demons and the cleansing power of redemption.
