Synopsis
Describing a new kind of malaise in 1990s Germany, in which middle aged unemployment has left many previously successful middle-class families in financial trouble. Walter is one such man, who has lost his job and has no direction. His wife is working as a waitress, and in a desperate attempt to impress her, he decides to steal from a jewelry store.
