Synopsis

A company of Russian soldiers are sent to Chechnya to subdue hostile Muslim villagers. The soldiers don't care about this conflict and get by solely on camaraderie. When they botch an ambush, they are sent as a punishment to man a remote checkpoint. There is little active hostility between them and the villagers, except for the odd sniper, and some of the village women come to offer sex for bullets. As time goes on, the Chechnya conflict comes to seem more and more pointless.
