Synopsis
Towards the end of World War II, in occupied France, a man finds a note in a train station on a train which has just arrived from Brussels. The note is addressed, and simply reads: "I am alive, and I love you." This event changes the man's life when he decides to bring it to the address. There he finds the parents of the woman who has written the note, as well as her three year old child. Heartbroken by the circumstances of these people's lives, the man sets out on a journey, taking the child to reunite him with his mother.
