Synopsis
Jaume Clara discovers he is terminally ill. He develops a powerful attraction to David, one of his students. Meanwhile, one of Jaume's oldest friends is Pere, whose daughter Alba is pregnant by David. The story is one of inheritances: of the letter on the nature of love that Jaume writes for David; of the baby that Alba is expecting, and of the relationship between Alba and her mother, in which they discuss Fanny's life before she married Pere.
