Synopsis
Delme Davies returns to his widowed mother in Llanelli, South Wales as a deserter after the British evacuation of Dunkirk during the early days of World War II. The military police are hot on his trail and he must hide out in the connected lofts of the tiny Welsh community. From his vantage point, he is able to spy on all the families--some who know he is there and others do not.
