Synopsis

The filmmaker found himself in China at the time of the repression in Tianenmen Square, and after escaping with his footage to Hong Kong, he became obsessed with visiting areas of conflict and major world events, as well as the sites of ancient sacrifices. Analysing the political shifts of the 1990s from a self-taught leftist perspective, he travels from China and Cambodia to South Africa, Latin America and Israel to investigate the impact of U.S. foreign policy around the globe.
