Synopsis

A nostalgic look at the motley residents of a single block in Rome on the eve of a rare solar eclipse. We follow the neighborhood kids as they spy on their hilarious and tragic grown-up neighbors. Elvira is about to be married to the rich but boring Vittorio, but her true love, Antonio, wants her back. Caligiuri is a comically inept convict who escapes for the chance to make love to his wife one more time. Guido is a blind trumpeter about to remove the bandages from an operation that just might restore his sight. Everyone eagerly awaits the eclipse. Perhaps they hope its special light will reveal solutions for their troubles. Perhaps it will.
