Synopsis
A reinvestigation of the still controversial case of Gordon Kahl. Kahl, a decorated World War II hero, became opposed to paying income taxes in 1967, and in 1976, appeared on television calling the tax illegal and encouraging people not to pay it. His opposition became more and more vocal until 1983 when it culminated in his involvement in two fatal shootouts with law enforcement officers, a manhunt and finally the discovery of a charred body said to be Kahl's.
