Synopsis
A young woman falls for a hero of her newly independent country and is, therefore, blind to the amorous attentions of another war hero. Shy Ze sends her love letters copied from a Scandinavian book (hence the references to blue eyes), and Yonta's inability to see past the older Vicente reflects on the illusions of the country as a whole.
